Now Accepting Texas LPC Associates
Taya Reed is a licensed LPC Supervisor accredited by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors. My approach to supervision mirrors my therapeutic style, aiming to empower associates to enhance all their relationships through a trauma-informed perspective that fosters a secure, supportive, and cooperative environment. My expertise lies in couple's therapy using the Gottman method, and I have recently shifted focus to adult adoptees. My therapeutic experience is grounded in attachment theory, solution-focused strategies, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. In supervision, we frequently discuss organizing treatment plans by delving into our clients' origin stories to deepen our comprehension of their journey from past to present.
We might be a good match if:
- You believe neuroscience is crucial in therapy.
- You're keen to deepen your grasp of attachment and trauma in your practice.
- You aim to work with particular groups such as adoptees, couples, or those dealing with anxiety and depression.
- You're drawn to specific approaches like the Gottman method, Trauma-Informed care, or are in search of guidance as you explore which therapy modalities suit you best.
Texas LPC Board requires a minimum of 4 hours of supervision per month. I offer virtual supervision only, usually scheduled before 5:00 pm. Supervision fees are $400 paid monthly for a guaranteed 4 hours of direct supervision (minimum). This covers direct supervision hours as well as check-ins and crisis management support throughout the month. Additional individual supervision may be requested for a fee of $100 per one-hour session. Prior to the beginning of supervision, we will decide together what date(s) the fee will be paid.
You can receive up to 50% of your supervision hours through a group setting. Currently, I offer individual supervision and will add group as the space allows. If group supervision is important to you, I am happy to offer group supervision times to other supervisees and see if we can coordinate schedules to make it happen.
Unfortunately, Sound House Therapy doesn't serve as a primary internship site at this time.
If you think we could be a good fit and would like to explore working together, please email me at taya@soundhousetherapy.com.
Since this is big commitment for both of us; at minimum 18 months I ask that potential supervisees include a letter of interest including what type of site you plan to work at, what type of clients you plan to work with, and what would be most helpful in a potential supervisory relationship. Please also send your resumé/CV and 3 references. From there, we will set up an (free) initial meeting to get to know each other and see if we feel like a good fit together!
