I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and the founder of Sound House Therapy PLLC. Currently my experience lends to around 14 years in practice with the last 3 years building my private practice. I am a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston-Downtown and my Master’s in Counseling degree from Prairie View A&M University.
I am a domestic adoptee who has been in reunion with both of my birthparents since 2006 and 2008. This life changing reunion has ignited a passion in me to support other adoptees who are trying to navigate their adoption identity. My therapeutic approach is highly interactive as I use a combination of techniques based in Attachment, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral and the Gottman method.
With a strong belief in the value of family I seek to empower my clients to improve in all their relationships through a trauma informed lens designed to create a safe, supportive and collaborative environment.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers, including therapists, need to give patients/clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. The Good Faith Estimate will provide information on your expected out of pocket costs. You should expect to receive your Good Faith Estimate at least one day prior to your first appointment with me.
